These classes give dancers the opportunity to spend a period of time focusing on improving their knowledge and technique of a certain style of dance.\n\n\nContemporary Master Class with Skylar Schultz\nWhen:  Thursday\, July 24 \n\nWhere:  FDCC \n\nTimes:\n~4:00-5:30pm…11 & under\n~5:30-7:00pm…12 & up\nFee:\n~Included with Unlimited Summer Rate\n~$30 drop in rate\n\n\n~$20 for FD alumni\n\n\nSkylar Schultz Bio\n~Born and raised in Racine\, Wisconsin\, Skylar Joy Schultz began her dance training at a young age. After dancing competitively\, she went on to train in the Conservatory program at Point Park University\, graduating in 2017 with a BFA in Dance. In 2018\, Skylar relocated to Las Vegas to pursue her career. She became a faculty member at The Nevada Ballet Theatre\, teaching Jazz and Contemporary genres. Skylar was a dancer for the WNBA Aces Dance Team\, a performer in WOW- The Vegas Spectacular Show\, and an inaugural cast member at The Mayfair Supper Club under the direction of No Ceilings Entertainment. She went on to achieve a full-time dance role in The Beatles LOVE by Cirque Du Soleil. During her four years with the production\, she was in the ensemble\, became a featured soloist for multiple roles\, and was awarded the position as Artist Coach. Since the closing of LOVE\, Skylar has immersed herself into the role of dance instructor. She is playing an integral role in Nevada Ballet’s Second Company\, as well as the Theatre Arts Preparatory School (TAPS)\, a multifaceted six month training program. Skylar’s teaching style fuses her strong technical background with the importance of performance quality\, musicality\, style & confidence. She grew up training every day in ballet\, jazz\, tap\, contemporary\, lyrical\, hip-hop\, and tumbling. Suzie danced competitively for 10+ years and now teaches and choreographs in the competition dance circuit. Her work has competed throughout Northern/Southern California\, Nevada\, and Virginia. She moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue her professional dance career and is represented by Go 2 Talent Agency. Some of her credits include international/national tours with singer Vidya Vox\, the NBA Clippers\, LA Sparks\, Gene Simmons\, Paul Stanley\, Joji\, and Snoop Dogg. She has shot national commercials for Panda Express and Weinerschnitzel and her film/television credits include Pepsi\, Takis\, Disney XD\, and Lady Dynamite. DESCRIPTION:Instructor Dino Elias\, center\, leads dancers during last year’s hip hop fundraiser at Forever Dance Carson City. This year’s event\, supporting Dancers Against Cancer\, is scheduled for Dec. 20. \nForever Dance has joined the 2025 Dancers Against Cancer (DAC) Hope Studio campaign and will host a fundraising hip-hop class on Saturday\, Dec. 20\, to help raise $1\,000 in support of dancers and dance families affected by cancer. \nThe adults-only class\, open to participants 21 and older\, will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Forever Dance\, located at 1923 North Carson Street #101\, Carson City. A minimum $20 donation is requested. Supervised activities will be available for children for a $10 donation\, led by Forever Dance student teachers. Pre-registration for the class and childcare is required. All proceeds support Dancers Against Cancer.

DESCRIPTION:Staging Rehearsal at Bally’s Lake Tahoe Friday\, June 12. \nForever Dance Staging Rehearsal   \nBally’s Lake Tahoe Friday June 12th\, 2025—–55 highway 50 Stateline\, NV \nWe will have a staging rehearsal at Bally’s prior to the recital.This is not a dress rehearsal\, no costumes will be worn. It is very important for the dancers to be able to have a rehearsal on the stage they will be performing on. It gives them a feel for the stage\, which is a very different space from our studios. They will review their spacing and practice entrances and exits from the Bally’s stage. Especially for our first year recital students\, the Staging Rehearsal opens their eyes to see that we are really putting on a show with an audience! Please do your best to make it possible for your child to be at the Staging Rehearsal. Not only will they feel more comfortable onstage for the recital\, but this is part of the FUN!! \nWhat to Wear to the staging rehearsal: \n~All dancers should wear neat dance attire with hair pulled securely back in a bun or low ponytail.   \n~Please bring all the shoes that you will be wearing for the Recital.   \n~Dancers in baton\, please remember to bring your batons\, as we will not have extra ones at Bally’s.   \n~No make-up needed. \n~No costumes needed. \nWhat to Expect \n~Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled staging time slot. \n~Please arrive on time. We will not wait for dancers who are late. You will miss your Staging Rehearsal if you are late. \n~Our goal is to stay on time. If we get behind\, we will do our best to catch up. \n~Most dances will get one run-through. \n~Dancers will line up with your teacher backstage 2 numbers before your scheduled slot. \n~Parents may video your dancer at the staging rehearsal\, but please stay behind the teacher area in the front of the showroom. \n~It will be a long day\, but it is part of the process of putting on a show. \nRules \n~NO Food or DRINKS are allowed in Bally’s Showroom.This is Bally’s rule for all of their current performances. \n~Dancers ARE allowed to have food backstage\, but these snacks should be items such as water and food bars.  Please do not bring in messy foods. \n~Please DO NOT leave any trash in the showroom\, dressing rooms or backstage. \n~All beverages backstage must have a secure lid. No drinks allowed without a cover. Water bottles and hydroflasks are great! \n~Please be sure to clean up your area before you leave the showroom on the evening of the staging rehearsal\, as well as at the recital. Bally’s does not clean up after us\, so we need all families to help keep the theater clean. \n~No running around the showroom or backstage.   \n~No excessive talking in the showroom. \n~Parents please supervise your children\, so that we can get the dancers on stage quickly and efficiently. \n~Younger dancers may not be dropped off and left unsupervised. \nPlease note: Parking is not free at the casinos. \n

DESCRIPTION:Recital Day \nOur recital is divided into 4 sessions. The doors to the showroom will open at 11:15am. Start times for each session will be: \nSession 1 – 12:00pm\, Session 2 – 2:00pm\, Session 3 – 4:00pm\, Session 4 – 6:00pm \nAll dancers need to be back stage 3 numbers before each of their dances. (Tots and young dancers should be brought to the stage doors by a parent 3 numbers before their dance and should be picked up by a parent immediately following their dance.) \nWe will be having recital recognition with medals and trophies at the end of each session. Your dancer will receive their medal or trophy at the end of the last session they dance in. All dancers (except for graduating seniors) should be wearing their recital t-shirt when they come up to receive their medal or trophy. Dancers can wear the t-shirt over their costume if they wish.  \nPlease read through the running order to find your dancer’s dance names throughout the recital so you know when they will be dancing and so you can plan accordingly for the day. You will receive costume notes for all dances.  \nPlease make sure you have all the costume pieces including shoes for each of your dancer’s dances. \nImportant Reminders: \n\n\n\nOur recital is a CASH ONLY event.  Please bring cash if you wish to buy logowear\, recital tickets at the door or raffle tickets.  There are ATM’s in the casino if you need to get cash.\nAll overdue balances must be paid before the recital on Sunday!\nOrder your tickets online before the deadline. You will not be able to purchase tickets after June 13th\, except for GA tickets for $35 each (cash only) the day of recital.  No tickets for sale at staging rehearsal.\nPick up after yourselves and your dancers! The casino staff is not responsible for cleaning up after us. \n\n\n\n\nNo photos or videos \n\n
